The Maritime Heritage
Instruments of work and hardship for the men of this region, boats have become within a few years the subject of attention and passion. For a long time disregarded, only just saved from destruction by a handful of men and women, nowadays, the maritime heritage is protected and sometimes highlighted.
Not only the boats, the on board material and the everyday objects, but also the memory of the old sailors with their gestures of construction and manoeuvre have been rediscovered, preserved and even reconstituted. Today they tend to become means of knowledge of a culture still alive.
