La Pointe du Raz en Cap Sizun

Situated at the bow of Brittany, the Pointe du Raz is one of the most striking
sites
of the atlantic coast. The milleniums have shaped it into a natural scenery open
to dreams and imagination. But the marks left by its numerous admirers eventually
spoiled it. In order for the site to regain its original beauty, a vast programme
of rehabilitation has been launched, the objectives of which being the
disappearance
of unwanted buildings and the regrowth of traditional cliff vegetation. 800 m
inland from the former buildings, a new complex offers a quality reception to
visitors, 1 000 parking spaces carefully hidden behind low walls.
Close to the transferred shops and restaurants, the Heritage Centre, is fully
equipped with a video room and an exhibition hall to inform and educate the
public. Thanks to the partnership with the Gaz de France Foundation, a natural gas
operated bus ensures a shuttle service to the Point. A guides' service is also
available.

recovering the headland it protects. From the paths that make their way between
the reviving plants of gorse and heather, the walker overlooks an unforgettable
panorama : the Bay of Audierne, the Isle of Sein, the Pointe du Van... |
